If you have ever been to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, etc. then you would have realized that the most irritating part of these cities is traffic.

Due to large population and lack of space for parking and walking the roads get crowded and blocks the traffic.
Metro and locals are such crowded that there is no space even for standing.
This results in wastage of time, loss of power, pollution by gases coming out of the vehicles, etc.
To solve this issue the government needed an instant solution. E-vehicles will take time to implement so we needed a solution to move the crowd as fast as possible.
Government got an idea of pod taxi which is under construction in Delhi.

These are small cabin which can occupy 4-6 passengers at a time and are driver-less. They will be operated by central server and no pods will communicate with each other.

According to them, pods will be available every 10-30 seconds to make travel very fast.
The construction is under process.

These are already in use in some parts of the world.
After its completion and successful operation there will be less traffic jams and less pollution because people will prefer to travel through these due to its faster operation and that's why these are also installed in the most busiest route of the city.
